Daniil Medvedev Calls for ATP Calendar Overhaul

His comments reflect growing concerns among players, including Carlos Alcaraz, about the demanding schedule that can impact motivation and increase injury risks. From next season, seven of the nine ATP Masters 1000 events will span 12 days, a change criticized by Stefanos Tsitsipas. Medvedev believes that top tournaments should be prioritized earlier in the year, allowing players to finish their seasons by October if they perform well. He emphasized the need for a calendar that better defines the top players based on their performances in major tournaments.
