$10K Reward Offered After Gabriela Ochoa Fatally Shot Chicago Bridgeport Robbery
Gabriela Ochoa, a 31-year-old woman, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery on Chicago's Southwest Side in the Bridgeport neighborhood. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on August 16, when a suspect in a dark-colored sedan, accompanied by a group, tried to rob her before shooting her in the chest. Ochoa was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Cook County Crime Stoppers has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest or indictment of those responsible, with tips accepted anonymously via phone or online. Alderman Nicole Lee expressed condolences and emphasized the community's demand for justice amid a recent rise in violent incidents in the area. Police continue to investigate, and no suspects are currently in custody.
