Puma Appoints Indrajeet Sen as Senior VP Sourcing

PUMA has appointed Indrajeet Sen as Senior Vice President of Group Sourcing, succeeding Anne-Laure Descours, who will step down from her role and act as an external advisor focusing on sustainability. Sen, who has been with PUMA since 2016, will oversee global sourcing and development of footwear, apparel, and accessories, while also managing operations and sustainability from Xiamen, China. The company's management committee will now consist of three members following Descours's departure, and Sen's promotion is seen as a strategic move to ensure continuity in value chain operations. CEO Arne Freundt praised Sen's contributions during his tenure, particularly during the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, and highlighted his leadership qualities as essential for PUMA's future growth. Descours, after more than 12 years with PUMA, has significantly impacted the brand's sustainability efforts, garnering international recognition. This change comes as PUMA navigates a slowdown in business during the first half of 2024.
