Doug Moreau Steps Down as LSU Radio Analyst

Doug Moreau, the longtime color analyst for LSU football, will not participate in the 2024 season due to recovery from recent surgery, marking a significant change for fans who have listened to his broadcasts for decades. Moreau has been a part of the LSU Sports Radio Network since 1972, serving as a color analyst since 1988 and contributing to three national championships. In his absence, former LSU fullback Jacob Hester will take over as color analyst, joining play-by-play announcer Chris Blair and sideline reporter Gordy Rush. Hester expressed his honor to step into the role, recalling his childhood memories of listening to Moreau call games. LSU Deputy Athletics Director Clay Harris shared sentiments of missing Moreau on air and wished him a speedy recovery.
