Two Charged with Murder of Tawana Choruma

Dominic Adedamole Adeyemi and Jack Connor Hibberd, both 18, have been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Tawana Choruma, who was fatally stabbed in Netley on December 18. Despite emergency medical intervention, Choruma was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after being found injured. The two suspects are currently remanded in custody and are set to appear before Southampton Magistrates' Court. Additionally, a 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on conditional bail, while another 18-year-old man previously arrested has also been released on bail. A 36-year-old woman arrested for assisting an offender will face no further action regarding that offense but remains under investigation for other charges. The police continue to investigate the incident as the community grapples with the tragedy.
