American Tourist Charged in Fatal Thailand Accident

Philip Edward Morrow, a 38-year-old American tourist, faces charges of reckless driving after he collided with 58-year-old Kia Sae-wang while riding a dirt bike in Chiang Mai, Thailand, resulting in her death. The incident occurred around 4 PM on Thursday as Sae-wang was crossing the road to go to a restaurant. Witnesses reported that Morrow appeared to be speeding at the time of the accident, which threw Sae-wang onto the pavement. Despite the immediate efforts of bystanders and paramedics, she later died from her injuries at the hospital. Morrow was visibly shaken and expressed deep remorse, kneeling and apologizing to Sae-wang's family, who reportedly did not show anger towards him.
