South LA Postal Worker Shot; Suspect Armed, At Large
A U.S. Postal Service worker, about 35 years old, was shot in the arm while delivering mail in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles near Century Boulevard and Central Avenue, late Monday morning between 11:05 and 11:40 a.m. The victim was transported to a hospital in unknown but conscious condition. Authorities described the suspect as a male, approximately 5'7" and 150 pounds, wearing all-black clothing and armed with a handgun. The suspect fled east on Century Boulevard toward Watts and remains at large. Police have ruled out robbery as a motive, but the reason for the shooting is still unclear. The investigation remains ongoing with no arrests or identification of the suspect announced.
