Little Simz to Curate 2025 Meltdown Festival

British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz has been named the curator for the 2025 Meltdown Festival at London's Southbank Centre, making her the youngest artist to take on this role. Celebrated for her genre-defying music, Simz will oversee an eclectic lineup of music, art, and workshops for the festival's 30th edition, scheduled from June 12 to 22, 2025. Known for her Mercury Prize-winning album 'Sometimes I Might Be Introvert,' Little Simz has also appeared on the Netflix series 'Top Boy' and performed at Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage. The festival has a legacy of esteemed curators like David Bowie, Grace Jones, and Chaka Khan, and Simz's selection promises a 'boundary-breaking' lineup. Southbank Centre's Jane Beese highlighted Simz’s ability to inspire and align with its artistic vision. The first round of performers curated by Simz will be announced in the spring.
