Paddy McNair San Diego
West Bromwich Albion has secured Northern Ireland international defender Paddy McNair on a loan from Major League Soccer's San Diego FC, valid until December 31, 2024. McNair, 29, who previously played for Middlesbrough and has extensive Championship experience, will provide additional defensive cover for head coach Carlos Corberan. Following his recent signing with San Diego FC, where he has a contract through the 2027 MLS season, McNair expressed excitement about this opportunity to play in the EFL Championship. He joins Albion as their fourth summer signing, following defenders Torbjorn Heggem and others. McNair has a strong background, including 69 caps for Northern Ireland and a career that started at Manchester United. His versatility and leadership are seen as valuable assets as Albion prepares for the season ahead.
