Grinderman Plans Eco-Friendly Reissues of Full Discography

Grinderman, the side project of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds members Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, and Jim Sclavunos, will reissue their entire discography on eco-conscious black vinyl and digisleeve CDs on July 18, 2025. The reissues include their self-titled 2007 debut, the more psychedelic 2010 album Grinderman 2, and the 2012 remix collection Grinderman 2 RMX featuring reinterpretations by artists like Robert Fripp and Josh Homme. Formed in 2005 to explore a rawer, primal sound distinct from The Bad Seeds and reminiscent of Cave's earlier post-punk project The Birthday Party, Grinderman has not performed live since 2013 but remains a potent and acclaimed part of Cave's musical legacy. Alongside the reissues, new merchandise including an exclusive tote bag will be available through Cave's official website. Nick Cave has suggested the improvisational nature of Grinderman makes new albums possible but unlikely to follow traditional rock formats. These reissues aim to introduce Grinderman’s visceral and untamed sound to devoted fans and new listeners alike, preserving the band's slim but powerful catalogue.
