Allegiant Plans Nonstop Flights Between Memphis, Knoxville Starting September

Allegiant Airlines is launching a new nonstop flight between Memphis International Airport and Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport starting September 4, 2025, with one-way fares as low as $39. The service will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, providing a convenient alternative to the approximately six-hour drive between the two cities. This route targets University of Tennessee students and alumni in Memphis, facilitating travel to Knoxville, especially ahead of the football season. The flight is part of Allegiant's broader expansion to connect smaller and underserved markets to vacation and regional destinations, including new routes to Fort Lauderdale and Gulf Shores. Allegiant currently offers nonstop flights from Memphis to six locations, celebrating its 10-year presence at the airport with nearly two million passengers served. Officials from both airports highlighted the benefits of the new service for local travelers and communities that have been overlooked by other carriers.
