Mitchell Santner Set to Return for Second Test

Santner, who performed well in his last Test match, was included in the squad specifically for the second and third Tests. Stead emphasized that the decision regarding Santner's inclusion would depend on the spin-friendly conditions expected in Wellington. Despite the team's poor performance, characterized by dropped catches and underwhelming contributions from batters like Devon Conway and Tom Blundell, Stead has reiterated his confidence in the players and has ruled out any immediate changes to the squad. He expressed trust in Conway's abilities, stating that class does not fade quickly, and he expects Blundell to regain form as well. The second Test is set to resume on Friday.
