Spirit Airlines Adds Chattanooga, Expands Columbia Flights

Spirit Airlines is expanding its service with new nonstop flights from Chattanooga and Columbia to major destinations including Fort Lauderdale, Newark, and Orlando, starting in June 2025. This expansion marks Chattanooga as Spirit's third Tennessee market, following Nashville and Memphis, and represents further growth in Columbia, South Carolina. These routes aim to offer affordable travel options with introductory fares starting at $50 one-way. Spirit's recent developments come after a challenging period with bankruptcy and restructuring, now focusing on new profitable routes. Both Chattanooga and Columbia airports are optimistic about the growth opportunities these new flights will bring, enhancing value and access for local travelers. Spirit plans to operate these routes multiple times a week using their Airbus A320 aircraft.
