In addition, Rockets coach Ime Udoka was fined $50,000 for verbally abusing a referee, while players Jalen Green and Tyler Herro were fined $35,000 and $25,000, respectively, for their roles in the incident. The altercation erupted when Thompson threw Herro to the ground after an exchange, leading to multiple ejections, including those of several players and coaches. Houston's Fred VanVleet also received a $35,000 fine for making contact with a referee. The incident escalated quickly, resulting in seven ejections in total during the game's final moments.
