Ruud van Nistelrooy has left his role as interim head coach of Manchester United following the appointment of Ruben Amorim, expressing gratitude for his time at the club. During his brief tenure, van Nistelrooy led the team to three wins and a draw in four matches, including a 3-0 victory over Leicester City. He shared an emotional farewell message on social media, stating that it was a 'privilege and honour' to represent United as a player, coach, and manager, and that the club will always hold a special place in his heart. Van Nistelrooy joined United's coaching staff in June 2024 and was appointed interim head coach after Erik ten Hag's sacking. Despite voicing a desire to stay under Amorim, he was confirmed to be leaving the new coaching setup. Amorim's first match is scheduled for November 24 against Ipswich Town, as United currently sits 13th in the Premier League.
