Barry Griffiths, a 57-year-old man from Powys, Wales, died in a tragic accident while trying to separate two frozen burgers with a knife. Living alone and with limited use of one arm due to a stroke, Griffiths accidentally stabbed himself in the stomach. He was found dead in his home several days later, with blood stains throughout his kitchen, hallway, and bedroom. Initial investigations left police puzzled, but they concluded the death was accidental after discovering the frozen burgers, knife, and tea towel in his kitchen. Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Rees stated that the wound was consistent with an accident, and both police and medical examiners ruled out suicide and third-party involvement. The area coroner expressed condolences and confirmed that Griffiths' death was a tragic accident.
