Squid Game Creator Loses 10+ Teeth Filming Netflix Final Season
Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of Netflix's Squid Game, has revealed that the stress of producing the series has taken a significant physical toll on him, resulting in the loss of around ten teeth—eight or nine during season 1 and two more during the making of season 3. While he found seasons 2 and 3 easier in terms of conceptualization, filming and writing them concurrently over a year was physically demanding. The third season, which will conclude the series, promises to introduce darker, more intense games that explore the lowest aspects of human nature, continuing from the dramatic cliffhanger of season 2. Hwang also mentioned the possibility of a spin-off set between seasons 1 and 2, exploring the intervening years. The show's lead, Lee Jung-jae, teased that season 3 will shock audiences one last time. The final season is set to premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2025.
