Grambling, Stony Brook, Findlay Set Fundraising Records

Several universities recently celebrated successful fundraising events, demonstrating significant community support for education. Grambling State University exceeded its $500,000 goal during its fourth annual 1901 Day of Giving, raising $596,189, with funds allocated to scholarships and student programs. Stony Brook University's Giving Day saw over 3,800 participants raise more than $1 million for various campus initiatives, marking an 18% increase from last year. The University of Findlay set records with 580 donors contributing $220,766, aided by substantial matching gifts from board members. Additionally, Howard Community College's President's Gala raised over $330,000 for scholarships, contributing to a record-breaking $4.8 million raised in total for the academic year. These events highlight the importance of community involvement in supporting educational institutions and enriching student experiences.
