No. 3 Oregon Faces No. 7 Indiana in Top-10 College Football Clash

The No. 3 Oregon Ducks (5-0, 2-0) will host No. 7 Indiana (5-0, 2-0) in Eugene on Oct. 11 at 12:30 p.m. PT in a consequential top-10 showdown with major Big Ten, College Football Playoff and Heisman implications and ESPN’s College GameDay returning to Autzen. Oregon coach Dan Lanning praised Indiana’s special-teams dominance (including blocked kicks), the Hoosiers’ disruptive defense and emphasized the impact a loud home crowd can have, while offering minor personnel updates. Indiana coach Curt Cignetti returned the compliment, lauding Lanning’s recruiting, development and the Ducks’ size, speed, depth and coaching while expressing confidence in his unbeaten team despite the hostile venue. The quarterback matchup is pivotal — Oregon’s Dante Moore has drawn high marks for his play and Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza arrives with strong numbers (about 1,208 yards and 16 TDs). Both teams are coming off bye weeks and unbeaten starts (Oregon: Montana State, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Oregon State, Penn State; Indiana: Old Dominion, Kennesaw State, Indiana State, Illinois, Iowa), and this is the first meeting between the schools in more than 20 years.
