Samuel Eto'o Banned from National Team Matches

FIFA has banned Samuel Eto’o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot), from attending all national team matches for six months due to misconduct during a Women's Under-20 World Cup match against Brazil. Eto’o was found guilty of breaching FIFA's disciplinary rules related to offensive behavior, fair play violations, and misconduct involving officials. The incident occurred during Cameroon’s last-16 game, which Brazil won 3-1 after extra time. This suspension does not affect Eto’o's role as Fecafoot president. Earlier this year, Eto’o was fined by the Confederation of African Football for an ethics violation involving a brand deal with an online gambling firm. Eto’o, a legendary player with a distinguished career, participated in four World Cups and won multiple Champions League titles.
