Check Point launches Enterprise Browser extending Zero Trust to unmanaged devices globally
Check Point Software Technologies has launched Enterprise Browser, a new feature for its Harmony SASE platform that extends Zero Trust security to unmanaged devices such as those used by contractors, BYOD users, and third-party partners. Built on Chromium, the browser creates an isolated, ephemeral workspace that enforces enterprise-grade controls during each session and erases sensitive data upon closure, enhancing data isolation and protection without requiring persistent agents or device ownership. The solution integrates data loss prevention measures, including restrictions on uploads, downloads, copy-paste actions, printing, and watermarking for documents and screens to prevent data leakage and support compliance with regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, and NIS2. Enterprise Browser also performs agentless device posture checks by verifying antivirus status, operating system versions, and disk encryption before granting access, while providing session recording and navigation history tracking for compliance auditing. Amit Bareket, VP of SASE at Check Point, emphasized that this feature balances productivity and security by enabling seamless access for third parties and BYOD users while providing IT teams with enhanced control, visibility, and compliance capabilities on unmanaged devices. The Enterprise Browser is globally available and integrates with Check Point's existing Harmony SASE infrastructure, supporting single sign-on authentication for efficient access management.
