Becoming Led Zeppelin Documentary Debuts in IMAX

The documentary 'Becoming Led Zeppelin', directed by Bernard McMahon and Allison McGourty, explores the early history of the iconic band, featuring never-before-seen footage and interviews with band members. Serving as a prequel to the 1976 concert film 'The Song Remains The Same', it captures the band's rise through the music industry with unique creative control over their albums. Despite Led Zeppelin's guarded legacy, McMahon gained the band's cooperation through his dedication and previous work, such as 'American Epic'. The documentary highlights the band's original formation as the 'New Yardbirds', later renamed 'Led Zeppelin' after a humorous remark by The Who's Keith Moon. It focuses on their initial two albums and formative years, omitting later parts of their career. 'Becoming Led Zeppelin' debuted on select IMAX screens and will be released widely on Valentine's Day, following its record-breaking performance.
