Nokia, Orange France secure four-year 5G upgrade deal

Nokia has secured a four-year contract extension with Orange France to enhance its 5G radio infrastructure, focusing on improved speeds, capacity, and overall customer experience across Southeastern and Western France. This deal involves deploying Nokia's energy-efficient AirScale portfolio, including next-generation baseband solutions and Massive MIMO Habrok radios. Additionally, Orange will trial Nokia's 5G Cloud RAN solutions to evaluate the transition towards cloud-based network technology. Nokia's AI-powered radio network management solution, MantaRay NM, will also be integrated to optimize network performance. Both companies are committed to sustainability, with Orange aiming to reduce its environmental footprint as part of this partnership. The collaboration marks a continuation of their long-standing relationship, enhancing network innovation and efficiency.
