Woman, 67, dies in M6 multiple vehicle crash

A tragic three-car crash on the M6 motorway near junction 16 in Cheshire resulted in the death of a 67-year-old woman from Liverpool, who was driving a red Hyundai. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM on March 24, involving a silver BMW and a black Mercedes. The BMW driver, a 51-year-old man from Staffordshire, sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized, while the Mercedes driver, a 41-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, was unharmed. The motorway was closed for several hours, reopening around 2 AM the following day. Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and any drivers with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with their ongoing investigation. Detective Inspector Steve Griffiths highlighted the busy nature of the M6, urging anyone with information to report it to the police.
