Memphis Guard Sincere Parker Arrested on Aggravated Assault Charges

Sincere Parker, a 22-year-old guard for the University of Memphis basketball team and former McNeese State player, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and vandalism following an alleged domestic violence incident. The victim, Parker's girlfriend, reported that during an argument in May, Parker pushed, slapped, choked her, and broke her iPhone to restrict her access to their shared apartment, resulting in visible injuries including a busted lip and bruises. Parker was booked into Shelby County Jail without bond and is scheduled for a court appearance in late July. The incident has prompted an ongoing investigation, with the University of Memphis acknowledging awareness but declining further comment due to its active status. Parker, who averaged over 12 points per game at McNeese, transferred to Memphis this season and was a significant part of their basketball roster.
