Chilean Tourist Charged in Kissimmee Murder

Piero Estefano But-Castillo, a 25-year-old tourist from Chile, was arrested for allegedly beating 55-year-old Robert Krusinowski to death with a fire extinguisher at a Quality Inn in Kissimmee, Florida. The incident occurred after hotel staff informed But-Castillo that he would be evicted, prompting Krusinowski to attempt to de-escalate the situation. Witnesses reported that But-Castillo became enraged and violently attacked Krusinowski, who was known at the motel for assisting staff. Despite paramedics' efforts, Krusinowski was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head trauma. But-Castillo is being held without bond, facing multiple charges including premeditated murder and battery. Sheriff Marcus Lopez condemned the attack, emphasizing that such violence would not go unpunished.
