Energy Plug Secures Exclusive Canadian Rights for SEETEL Storage with Americas Expansion Plans

Energy Plug Technologies Corp. has entered a strategic partnership with SEETEL New Energy, granting Energy Plug exclusive rights to distribute SEETEL's advanced energy storage systems in Canada under the co-brand "MBT-SEETEL," with plans to expand into the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. This alliance operates through Malahat Battery Technologies (MBT), a joint venture majority-owned by the Malahat First Nation (51%) and Energy Plug (49%), aiming to combine Indigenous leadership with global energy expertise to promote sustainable energy solutions and Indigenous economic empowerment. SEETEL's subsidiary, Aurosi Precision in Taiwan, allocates 1 GWh annually exclusively for the Canadian market from its 3 GWh production capacity, supported by major institutional investors such as ACER and Chailease Holding. The partnership targets critical infrastructure sectors including data centers, national defense, and utility grid networks, with ongoing discussions about establishing Canadian-based manufacturing to enhance local supply chains and energy sovereignty. Energy Plug's CEO Paul Dickson emphasized the importance of this collaboration in delivering secure, scalable, and cyber-resilient energy storage solutions while supporting Indigenous economic development. The partnership reflects a significant step toward integrating advanced technology with Indigenous stewardship to strengthen energy infrastructure across the Americas.
