Orioles Sign Reliever Andrew Kittredge

The Baltimore Orioles have officially signed right-handed reliever Andrew Kittredge to a one-year contract worth $9 million, with a $1 million buyout and a team option for 2026. Kittredge, who had a successful season with the St. Louis Cardinals, posting a 2.80 ERA over a career-high 74 appearances, is expected to bolster the Orioles' bullpen alongside returning closer Félix Bautista, who missed the previous season due to Tommy John surgery. The addition follows the loss of key bullpen members Danny Coulombe and Jacob Webb. Kittredge's strong performance is highlighted by his effective slider, with hitters batting just .177 against it last season. The Orioles have also been active in the offseason, securing other pitchers like Charlie Morton and Tomoyuki Sugano, but Kittredge's experience in high-leverage situations will be particularly valuable. To make room for him, the team designated catcher Blake Hunt for assignment.
