SEVENTEEN Sub-Unit CxM Breaks 13-Year Billboard 200 K-Pop Record

SEVENTEEN's new sub-unit CxM, consisting of members S.Coups and Mingyu, has made a historic debut on multiple Billboard charts with their first EP, 'Hype Vibes.' The album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 71, marking the highest ranking ever for a K-pop sub-unit and breaking a 13-year record previously held by Girls' Generation–TTS. 'Hype Vibes' also debuted at No. 2 on the World Albums chart and No. 5 on the Top Album Sales chart, with nearly all of its 13,000 equivalent album units coming from pure sales. CxM topped the Emerging Artists chart, becoming the fifth act to do so in 2025, and also appeared at No. 43 on the Billboard Artist 100. This achievement adds to SEVENTEEN's impressive Billboard history, with CxM being the third sub-unit from the group to chart successfully, following BSS and HxW. The album's success extends internationally, with strong sales and certifications in Japan and China, while the title track has seen significant streaming and broadcast success.
