Jamie Lee Curtis, reflecting on her mortality, has embarked on a new phase of her career as a producer, aiming to bring meaningful stories to life before her time runs out. After turning 60, she felt compelled to establish her own production company, Comet Pictures, realizing that her ideas and passions would die with her if not shared. Curtis is currently producing a documentary about 1990s fitness icon Susan Powter, expressing regret for not having the confidence to pitch such a project in her youth. She noted that had she pursued the role during Powter's fame, she would have fit the part perfectly. Curtis's transition into producing has been fruitful, as evidenced by her collaboration with Jason Blum. Alongside her production work, she is also set to star in the upcoming sequel to 'Freaky Friday.'
