PV Sindhu Appoints Lee Hyun Il as Coach

PV Sindhu, the double Olympic medalist in badminton, has appointed South Korean legend Lee Hyun Il as her consulting coach alongside Anup Sridhar, who is serving as her interim coach. This new coaching team will support Sindhu until December 2024, following the conclusion of her previous coach Agus Dwi Santoso's contract. Sindhu is preparing for her competitive return at the Finland Open and Denmark Open in October, seeking to revitalize her career after missing out on a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Lee Hyun Il, a former world number one and bronze medalist at the 2006 World Championships, is expected to enhance Sindhu's game with his extensive experience and tactical knowledge. Both coaches aim to address Sindhu's court movement and coverage issues as she embarks on her post-Olympic journey.
