Apple TV+ Plans Global August Debut for Shape Island Season 2

Apple TV+ has announced that the second season of its stop-motion animated series Shape Island will debut globally on August 29, 2025. Based on the bestselling Shapes picture book trilogy by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, the series follows characters Square, Circle, and Triangle as they embark on imaginative adventures, building friendship while navigating their differences. The season will feature returning voice actors including Yvette Nicole Brown, Harvey Guillén, Scott Adsit, and Gideon Adlon. Co-created by the book authors Barnett and Klassen, who serve as executive producers, the series has won a Children’s & Family Emmy Award. Barnett was recently named the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature by the Library of Congress. The show is produced by Emmy-winning Bix Pix Entertainment, with Kelli Bixler and Drew Hodges as executive producers and Ryan Pequin as co-executive producer and head writer.
