Father Charged With Murdering Son in Kentucky
In Juneau, Alaska, James White, 44, has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of a one-month-old infant, who suffered blunt force injuries to the head. The incident occurred on April 15 at a Super 8 motel, where the infant was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead, leading to a seven-month investigation. Meanwhile, in Franklin County, Kentucky, 60-year-old Steven Girtley has been arrested after a days-long manhunt following the fatal shooting of his son, Justin Girtley, 36, during an altercation on November 9. Steven Girtley fled the scene but was captured early Thursday morning inside a barn on his property. Witnesses reported seeing Steven shoot his son before he escaped into the woods. Both suspects are facing serious charges, with preliminary hearings scheduled in their respective cases.
