UAE Frontrunner to Host Women's T20 World Cup 2024

The Women's T20 World Cup 2024, initially set to be held in Bangladesh, is likely to be relocated due to political unrest and security concerns. India declined to host the event, citing monsoon season and their commitment to hosting the Women's ODI World Cup next year. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has emerged as the frontrunner to host the tournament, offering world-class cricketing venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are also being considered as potential hosts, with a final decision expected soon. Meanwhile, the ICC has announced the schedule for the U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025, to be held in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, featuring 16 teams and 41 matches.
