Maple Leafs' Stolarz Unlikely to Return This Series
Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz remains sidelined after a head injury from an elbow by Florida Panthers' Sam Bennett in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Stolarz was hospitalized but has returned to limited practice with the goalie coach; however, head coach Craig Berube does not expect him back for Game 5 or likely the remainder of the series. The series is now tied 2-2, with backup Joseph Woll taking over as starting goaltender and delivering strong performances amid the team's challenges. The incident has led the Maple Leafs to call for greater player protection, citing Bennett's history of similar infractions. Stolarz's chances of returning this series remain slim as he only recently resumed skating. The team continues to monitor his progress while relying on Woll as their playoff hopes persist.
