Xbox Game Pass Expands Cloud Gaming to Core, Standard Insiders
Microsoft has expanded its Xbox Cloud Gaming service to include subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass Core and Standard tiers, which were previously limited to the Ultimate tier. This update, currently available to Xbox Insiders, allows these subscribers to stream cloud-enabled games included with their subscription and select cloud-playable games they own. Additionally, select PC versions of games are now accessible to Core and Standard subscribers via the Xbox app on PC, enhancing the flexibility to play across devices. The rollout aims to broaden gamers' access to Xbox content on consoles, PCs, and supported cloud devices, including smart TVs and browsers. While the feature is still in beta testing for Insiders, Microsoft plans to make it available to all users in the near future, increasing the value proposition of the lower-tier subscriptions. This move reflects Microsoft's ongoing efforts to make gaming more accessible and convenient across a wider array of platforms and subscription levels.
