Santa Cruz Hardcore Band Drain Releases Third Album with Limited Edition Vinyl

Santa Cruz hardcore band Drain has announced their third studio album, ...Is Your Friend, set for release on November 7 via Epitaph Records. The album, produced by Jon Markson and recorded live without a metronome, follows their 2023 release Living Proof and continues to blend thrash riffs with hardcore energy. The lead single "Nights Like These," accompanied by a music video directed by Derek Rathbun, features the band’s fathers and uncle playing older versions of the band members in a show set in 2055, emphasizing themes of friendship and longevity. Vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro explained the video concept and the song’s message about cherishing experiences with close friends and family through their musical journey. Drain will support the album with a series of US shows and festival appearances throughout the summer and fall. A limited edition "Patina Rust Splash" vinyl variant of the album is also available for pre-order, limited to 500 copies.
