China Leads Global AI Adoption Amid Training Gaps

The 2025 Industrial Technology Index from TE Connectivity reveals that while artificial intelligence (AI) adoption is growing globally, a significant lack of training is hindering its full integration into companies. The survey found that 68% of engineers and 70% of executives reported some level of AI integration, yet 42% of executives admitted their companies do not provide adequate training, resulting in only a quarter of companies achieving extensive AI usage. China leads in AI adoption with 28% of companies using it extensively, while the U.S. lags at just 15%. The report highlights the necessity for businesses to invest in training to fully realize AI's potential for driving growth and efficiency. Furthermore, despite the optimism surrounding AI, only 36% of executives prioritize sustainability in their AI strategies, focusing instead on cost savings and operational efficiency.
