China Leads Global AI Adoption Amid Training Gaps
The 2025 Industrial Technology Index from TE Connectivity reveals that while artificial intelligence (AI) adoption is growing globally, a significant lack of training is hindering its full integration into companies. The survey found that 68% of engineers and 70% of executives reported some level of AI integration, yet 42% of executives admitted their companies do not provide adequate training, resulting in only a quarter of companies achieving extensive AI usage. China leads in AI adoption with 28% of companies using it extensively, while the U.S. lags at just 15%. The report highlights the necessity for businesses to invest in training to fully realize AI's potential for driving growth and efficiency. Furthermore, despite the optimism surrounding AI, only 36% of executives prioritize sustainability in their AI strategies, focusing instead on cost savings and operational efficiency. This scenario underscores the importance of addressing training gaps to enhance AI's impact across various industries.
