Tulane Baseball Team Achieves Preseason Honors

The Arizona GymCats have placed four athletes on the Big 12 Gymnastics Preseason Team, achieving six total selections, which ties them for the second-most with Utah. Among the standout selections, Fears was recognized for her performances in vault, bars, and all-around, while Deets received unanimous honors on beam after a breakout season. In baseball, six international players, including Matt Shaw and Carson Williams, have been rated as top prospects by Baseball America, with Shaw excelling as the USA starting third baseman during the WBSC Premier12 2024. Meanwhile, Tulane's baseball team has been ranked third in the AAC Coaches' Poll, with four players, including pitchers Luc Fladda and Jacob Moore, receiving Preseason All-Conference honors. This recognition comes after Tulane's recent back-to-back AAC Tournament championships and consecutive NCAA Regional appearances, signaling high expectations for the upcoming season. Tulane baseball is set to begin its season in February against Omaha.
