New additions to the cast include Ariana Grande, rumored to play the fiancée of Greg and Pam's son, and Beanie Feldstein. The film aims to reflect a generational mirror to the original, with Stiller noting the age parallels inspiring the story, while producer Jane Rosenthal emphasized a more cautious approach to humor given contemporary sensitivities.
