Leif Smerud has departed as manager of Crystal Palace Women’s team after approximately ten weeks in charge following their relegation from the Women’s Super League (WSL). Appointed in early March to replace Laura Kaminski, Smerud oversaw the team through the remainder of a difficult season, which ended with Crystal Palace finishing bottom of the WSL table with just two wins.
