UMG Expands Partnership With Daniel Nigro's Amusement Records

Universal Music Group (UMG) has expanded its partnership with Grammy-winning producer Daniel Nigro and his label, Amusement Records, following the success of Chappell Roan's debut album, 'The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.' This new agreement allows Amusement to operate as a central label venture within UMG, enabling new artist signings to collaborate across UMG's global family of labels. UMG CEO Lucian Grainge praised Nigro for his creative brilliance and entrepreneurial spirit, expressing excitement about future music and artists that will emerge from this collaboration. Nigro, who founded Amusement Records in 2023, emphasized his commitment to providing artists with the resources they need to thrive. The partnership is built on Nigro's successful history with artists like Roan and Olivia Rodrigo, both of whom are signed to UMG labels. Since its release, Roan's album has achieved over 4.3 billion streams, reflecting the strong trajectory of both the artist and her producer.
