Shahn Alston Joins USC Trojans Football Team

Shahn Alston, a four-star running back from Painesville, Ohio, has committed to the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans during the Navy All-American Bowl. Despite strong competition from Penn State, Wisconsin, and Michigan State, Alston chose USC primarily due to its combination of strong academics and athletics, particularly its top-ranked business school which aligns with his post-football aspirations. Alston is highly rated across major recruiting platforms, being the No. 7 running back and holding a four-star rating. His impressive junior season included 1,104 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns, showcasing his potential contribution to USC's football program. The commitment bolsters USC's 2026 recruiting class, which is now ranked third nationally.
