Claressa Shields to Defend Four Titles July 26
Claressa Shields, the undisputed women's heavyweight boxing champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, will defend her WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO titles against New Zealand’s Lani Daniels on July 26 at Detroit's Little Caesars Arena. Shields, who recently became the only boxer—male or female—to achieve undisputed status in three weight classes, remains undefeated at 16-0 following her February victory over Danielle Perkins. Daniels, currently the IBF light heavyweight champion and a former IBF heavyweight champion, has won seven consecutive bouts and is recognized as one of New Zealand’s top boxers. The event will be broadcast live on DAZN, with tickets already available. Promoter Dmitriy Salita highlights the fight as significant for gender equality and the growing stature of women's boxing. If Daniels wins, she will become the undisputed heavyweight champion, securing all four major belts for New Zealand.
