Peel Waters Appoints GRAHAM for £71m Liverpool Waters Regeneration

Peel Waters has appointed GRAHAM as the principal contractor for a £71 million infrastructure development at Central Docks, the largest brownfield site in Liverpool and a key part of the Liverpool Waters project. The contract includes the installation of underground utilities, roads, public spaces, and the creation of a 2.1-hectare Central Park featuring sports, recreational, and leisure facilities. This infrastructure will support the delivery of approximately 2,350 new homes, with a diverse tenure including affordable, build-to-rent, build-to-sell, and elderly living options. The project is part of Peel Waters' master plan and aligns with the UK Government's New Homes Accelerator initiative, backed by £25.9 million from Peel Waters and £55.2 million from Homes England. Liverpool City Council will manage the Homes England grant, and Peel Waters is actively partnering with developers to progress the mixed-tenure neighbourhood. Both Peel Waters and GRAHAM emphasize their commitment to sustainability, community, and transforming the former industrial docklands into a vibrant waterfront destination.
