Three Ohio Men Charged in Pontiac Businessman Murder

Three men from Ohio, William Gregory Creasy, Scott Aloysius Brown, and Deonte Damonte Prophett, have been arraigned on felony murder and armed robbery charges in connection with the January 13 shooting death of Sam Simko, a 66-year-old co-owner of a Pontiac marijuana grow business. Investigators believe the men orchestrated a meeting with Simko as a ruse to rob him, ultimately stealing approximately 50 pounds of marijuana. Prophett is accused of firing the fatal shots during the incident, which occurred at Simko's business on University Drive. The suspects were extradited from Cincinnati and are being held without bond, with their next court hearing scheduled for February 11. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard expressed the need for swift justice in this case, highlighting the calculated nature of the crime. Video footage reportedly captured the sequence of events leading to the murder, including Creasy's initial entry into the business and the subsequent actions of Brown and Prophett.
