Springfield Police Recover Vehicle In Fatal Hit-Run Pedestrian Crash

Annabelle Rufino, a 57-year-old Springfield resident, was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident at the intersection of Bay and Bowles streets. She was found injured around 10:30 a.m. and died at Baystate Medical Center from her wounds. A white Acura sedan believed to be involved in the crash was located later that day in the Forest Park neighborhood. Police and the Hampden District Attorney's Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with information to contact Springfield Police or submit anonymous tips. Authorities have not confirmed any arrests related to the incident. The community is being asked for assistance to bring the driver to justice.
