India Dominate West Indies After Three Centuries

India reached 448/5 at stumps on Day 2 of the opening Test in Ahmedabad, leading the West Indies by 286. KL Rahul scored his 11th Test century — his first at home in nearly nine years — while Dhruv Jurel notched his maiden Test hundred and Ravindra Jadeja was 104 not out. Jurel and Jadeja added a 206-run fifth-wicket partnership that put India firmly in control. Earlier, the West Indies were bowled out for 162 as Mohammed Siraj (4-40) and Jasprit Bumrah (3-42) spearheaded a disciplined attack and Kuldeep Yadav’s return yielded key breakthroughs. With spinners finding turn and bounce and India scoring at about 3.5 RPO, the hosts are targeting a possible finish by the end of the third day to strengthen their World Test Championship position.
