Globe Telecom, Nokia Enhance Banking Security with 5G APIs

Globe Telecom is collaborating with Nokia to enhance security for banks and enterprises by testing Nokia's Network Exposure Platform (NEP), which aims to develop security-focused applications using network Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This initiative is crucial as cyberattacks on banking services are increasing, and Globe seeks to provide its enterprise customers with advanced technologies to prevent fraud. The NEP will help Globe streamline its API offerings and integrate them into developer ecosystems, promoting flexibility and security. Both companies are also contributing to global initiatives like GSMA Open Gateway and the Linux Foundation's CAMARA to standardize network APIs. Globe is already leveraging other Nokia solutions, including 5G radio access networks, in its operations.
