Former Kansas Detective Roger Golubski Found Dead

Roger Golubski, a former Kansas police detective accused of multiple sexual assaults against vulnerable Black women, died by suicide on the morning his trial was set to begin. The 71-year-old's body was found at his home after he failed to appear in court, with his attorney stating that he was distraught over media coverage of the allegations. Golubski faced charges including deprivation of civil rights and involvement in a sex-trafficking ring, dating back to the late 1990s and early 2000s. Following his death, a judge dismissed the case at the request of prosecutors, describing the situation as 'truly unexpected.'
